Structured Master's in Mathematical Sciences

The flagship 12-month broad-based Master's programme. Students work through a Skills phase (foundational mathematics and scientific computing), a Review phase (advanced electives in pure, applied and computational mathematics) and a Research phase culminating in an individually supervised dissertation.

Co-operative Master's in Mathematical Sciences

An 18-month industry-immersive Master's programme combining a 12-month structured taught phase at AIMS Cameroon with a 6-month full-time professional placement in a partner organisation. Graduates leave with both a research-quality dissertation and demonstrable workplace experience in data analytics, quantitative finance, telecoms engineering or public-sector modelling.

A 24-month research MPhil for graduates targeting a research career or PhD entry. Specialisation in statistical learning, deep learning, causal inference and the engineering of trustworthy AI systems for African contexts.

PhD in Mathematical Sciences

PhD in Mathematical Sciences

Course start date: 5 May 2026

A 3-year doctoral programme in pure, applied or computational mathematics. Candidates are jointly supervised by AIMS Cameroon faculty and a co-supervisor at a partner institution, and contribute original research suitable for publication in international peer-reviewed journals.
